Staff Profile: Kenneth D. Hackman

Ken Hackman, CEO of NISR, serves as a Project Advisor on all contracts. In this role Mr. Hackman is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in managing the overall contract components. Prior to this role, he was the Project Manager and Principal Instructor for 24 years for NHTSA's FARS program. Additionally, he has trained law enforcement trainers and officers in crash investigation in over half the country for FMCSA. This class was developed by NISR for FMCSA and is called "Crash Data Collection for Commercial Motor Vehicles."
In addition to training, his experience includes research design, database analysis and management, traffic record standardization, computer-assisted instruction, and conference management. Mr. Hackman is a recognized authority in the field of State Driver Licensing, Driver History, and License Violation practices.
Mr. Hackman is the past Chairman of the ANSI D16 Committee and designed and implemented an ANSI D16 training program for the National Safety Council, which was taught nationwide. He also served as a member of the MMUCC Expert Panel in 2003, 2008, and 2012.
