Stephen McDonald is a Senior Data Quality Control Analyst and the Quality Control Team Lead. Mr. McDonald has fulfilled this role since 2008 in support of the quality control activities associated with NISR’s Training, Coding, and Quality Control Support contracts with NHTSA. In this role he directs the activities associated with the Quality Control Program and helps to develop methodologies for identifying and correcting data inconsistencies in the coding of FARS and CRSS data. Mr. McDonald has a long, distinguished history of traffic safety related data quality and research project experience that includes serving as the Director of the Indiana University Transportation Research Center prior to working for NISR. In his prior employment at Indiana University, Mr. McDonald also taught graduate level statistics courses.
